If Life Had No Problems What would you learn?
Some days are definitely better that some. It’s great to be able to call on someone when you have a problem, especially when they can be right there to aide you. In the busy lives of believers, when trouble seems to show up, believers can always call on another church member to pray with them. In many cases, church members will go the extra mile and come to you and provide comfort if and when needed. Some church members will immediately call for the pastor of the church and like most pastors, he will be right there. If someone had to go to the hospital, they call the pastor; if someone goes to jail, you call the pastor; the electric company is outside your house to disconnect the power, call the pastor and the praying saints.
At what point in life do we (as believers) deal with the problem that life brings us? When do we make a stand for our self? Somethings are preventable, as for the problems and circumstances beyond our control, I believe God steps in to comfort and help us.
What if God answered our every beckoned call? What would we learn? How comforting it is to have someone show up when you call and every time there is an issue, someone from the church shows to help. What do you learn when you have someone to carry the burden for you? Probably not a thing because someone is always there to rescue us. There are believers who will not make a decision without consulting their church and there are those that have their pastor on speed dial at the moment they are in a jam.
There’s nothing wrong with having someone to turn to, the problem is when we depend on that person for everything and we fail to think and act responsibly for ourselves. I think pastor would enjoy good health and live longer if they were not stresses by believers who are clingy in most situations they could deal with themselves. Although most pastors would say, “well..that’s my job”, my reply to you is, “you cant fix everything”. Sometime we need to let people feel the weight of personal responsibility. Calling the church (or parents) at the last hour, needing a bail out from the cause of your own actions can be stressful on the one providing the relief.
What would we learn if God came to the rescue immediately in every situation? I know that God is a present help in the time of trouble, but everything we deem as trouble may only be panic or poor planning on our part. Asking God to help you pass a test when you didn’t take the time to commit yourself to study or asking God to help you teach or preach a sermon when you haven’t spent time with Him all week long. What would you learn if God answered your beckoned call?
In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:6). I think if we as the people of God acted out Proverbs 3:6, we would eliminate most of our problems because God would lead us another way or direct us to do something different.
By acknowledging God first we would learn to seek His guidance and follow His leading.
