You don’t have to be a great orator, have a PHD or hail from a well known theological seminary, you simply need to know what it is that you believe(why would help also). According to 1 Peter 3:15, we should be ready to give every man an answer that’s will ask you the reason of the hope that you have. What is it you can answer? I believe that anyone can answer intelligently as to why they believe, what they believe; if by reading this you find that you can not give an answer, call this your first assignment. Reality shows have really caught on in the entertainment industry, I can only imagine how lucrative they must be with the multiple streams of revenue they generate. The church has jumped on the band wagon with their search for the best gospel choir, choir director or solo singer. The participation of a small segment of those affiliated with churches, don’t represent the entire church body, but those participation in these shows are enough to influence the thinking of the rest of the world. I remember watching one particular show and one of the judges had to remind a young singer to maintain a sense of modesty in her attire; not everyone singing gospel music represents what the gospel is all about. The word love is used so much in our society that I often wonders if people really understand the word or the actions that should follow the meaning; not that I am an expert or an authority on the subject.
Our modern dictionaries define love as:
1. A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
2. A feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
3. Sexual passion or desire.
