The body of Christ is made up of many members. The church, is made up of many born again believers of whom God have given gifts and talents to. These gifts and talents are not for entertainment purposes, but they are for serving the body of Christ. Do all members have the same office? No, do all have the gift of teaching or preaching? No. Each members of the body of Christ has a function and a purpose. We often hear our functions and purposes referred to as gifts.
Every now and them, I think many believers get so caught up on the or gifts, they think their gift is far superior than anyone. The believer that prophesies will need to partake of the gift of healing or benefit from someones giving. In Romans the 12th chapter, Paul urges the saints at Rome (Romans 1:7) to present them selves as a living and holy sacrifice (Romans 12:1) Read more on Wait on it….

I remember as a young man how worship services had a special meaning to my mother. I can remember how the people were reflective of their week and thankful to God for His many blessings.
Attending Church had a special meaning during those years, it was quite different from the time we experience in the corporate worship services today. Modesty and humility were the hallmark of Godly men and women then and so much has chanced in this century. At the risk of stirring up a hornets nest (and I’m not calling anyone a hornet) I realize that some of my readers may not agree nor appreciate this post in particular.
