Absolutely nothing! People try many things to please God; they want Salvation so they can make it into Heaven. Going to church, singing in the choir or being an usher. The truth is that none of your acts or attempts to be “right” (Isaiah 64.6) with God will work!
If you want to please God, look at what the Bible Says:
Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.
So, what can you do to be saved? Again…nothing! Jesus Christ Already did it for you! What is necessary for you to be pleasing in the Sight of God? Lets see; He died for the sin of mankind and then He rose again from His death, that you might Live! All you need to do is believe that. Sound too easy? Still not convinced? Then read the scripture for yourself;
Rom 10:9 because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved:
Rom 10:10 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be put to shame.
Rom 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:
Rom 10:13 for, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Now that I have your attention, before you dismiss this article as blasphemous read on to understand my statement. I PETER 1:15-16 states the following:
-But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16: for it is written:
“Be holy, because I am holy.” Read more on The Problem with Holiness…

It seems that believers will try many things to please God; they want Salvation so they can make it into Heaven; going to church, singing in the choir or being an usher or in the ministry. The truth is that none of your acts or attempts to be “right” (Isaiah 64.6) with God will work! No matter how devout, pious, religious, mega church affiliated of self sanctified.

How many times have you been heard that a person is saved when they believe in Jesus? In church we often learn that Christian salvation happens when and because someone believes in Jesus. Is this really true?
While most Christians probably hold to the idea that a person is saved when they believe in Jesus, there are others who hold to the idea that something more than faith is required. In other words, you must believe and have some sort of good works in order for you sins to be forgiven. Read more on Salvation – Is a Person Really Saved When They Believe?…
