When giving up is not an option.

Giving up and walking away from your faith is the easiest thing to do.  Think about it, your frustrated and it seems that no one cares nor do they understand. When you go to the church  the counselor really doesn’t connect with what your saying and just offers you a few bible scriptures and tells you your problem is,  not enough prayer and you don’t attend enough services.

The world is full of problems, the church has problems, the members have problems and everyone in the church you speak to  says “I’m blessed of the Lord” when you ask  “how are you today.”

All is not lost, God knows what your feeling and what your going through. Don’t take my word for it, look at what David wrote in  Psalm 139.

What would you learn…?

Some days are definitely better that some. It’s great to be able to call on someone when you have a problem, especially when they can be right there to aide you.  In the church when trouble shows its ugly head, the saints will immediately call the pastor and in most cases he will be right there.  If someone had to go to the hospital, they call the pastor; if someone goes to jail, you call the pastor; the electric company is outside your house to disconnect the power, call the pastor and the praying saints.

At what point in life do we deal with the problem our self? There are something that are preventable and for the ones that are out of our control, I strongly believer God steps in.  What if God answered our every beckoned call?  What would we learn… Read more »

Go Saints!

I couldn’t resist the opportunity to root for the saints on this particular day. I realize that many of you might not be sports fans but I wanted to acknowledged the fact that we contend with many issues during the day but in the end we win and before it starts, we’ve won because of  the team we’re on. We have an amazing head coach and only one referee whose constantly doing an outstanding job no matter what the play is.

Yes it may be superbowl Sunday and one of the playing teams happens to be the Saints. The saints that I am refering to in today’s post are the pople of God. While you may be rooting for your favorite football team, daily I’m rooting for the people of God that endure the harships and difficulties that we face every day. Be encouraged and of God cheer, Jesus Christ has overcome!

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (Jude 1:24) KJV

Go Saints of God!

What are you worried about?

The fact is, Christians will find themselves worrying at some point and time in the walk with Christ. Most places where you fellowship will make your feel defective because you acted human, forgot about trusting in God and worried.  This is why we fellowship and have Gods word, to remind us that we have nothing to worry about. Its common that in the middle of trouble we forget and we worry; some remember and pray.   For those of us that are strong, we are tasked to bear the infirmities of those that are weak.

Having a weakness, does not make you less of a man or a woman, in fact the spirit of God makes intercessions  for us because…” we know not what we should pray for as we ought” (Romans 8:26). What ever your worry, God is well informed and already knows whats going on, trusting seems to be hard when you are in a rush and want instant results. I think this is part of the reason we go through trying times, to teach us that we can depend on God.

Here’s something to help, Proverbs 3:1-8:

1 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. 3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.  7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.  8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.

So, what are you worried about?
