You don’t have to be a great orator, have a PHD or hail from a well known theological seminary, you simply need to know what it is that you believe(why would help also). According to 1 Peter 3:15, we should be ready to give every man an answer that’s will ask you the reason of the hope that you have. What is it you can answer? I believe that anyone can answer intelligently as to why they believe, what they believe; if by reading this you find that you can not give an answer, call this your first assignment. 2008 is a year of new beginnings; God has got your back! I resolve that 2008 will be a banner year. In 2002 it was echoed “…God has a blessing for you in 2002”, In 2004 it was said, “…your troubles will be no more” and in the year 2005 it was said “…2005 it is so great to be alive!
Clichés seem to resonate from the mouth of believers whom haven’t seen each other in quite some time, clichés flow and even rhyme in a mystical sort of way from their mouths but they don’t encourage or strengthen you simply because its not Gods word. What ever happened to words of substance? What happened to words from the heart? Or what about what is written in Gods Word? Remember when the saints would say, “I love you” Remember when the saints would call you on the phone to encourage you? You knew they cared because they showed it! Do you hear that? Its so quiet, you can hear a pin drop, Oh..Its the silence of the sheep. It seems that many believers are afraid to speak up when they see inappropriate behavior or hear something taught in Bible study. Its one thing to be mistaken when you teach something, but to simple implement a passage of scripture as doctrine is totally another. Read more on The Silence of the…sheep….

Everyone who wants to be your friend…is not. Everyone who says they care… does not. Everyone who smiles at you is not your friend nor does it prove they care!
But…Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved! If you need to be saved from your addiction…Call Jesus!
If you need t be saved from what oppresses, hinders, and even threatens you…Call His Name!
I find it alarming that we are so quick to turn to the ones that can help us in the least. We put trust and confidence in systems and they can only provide a temporary relief.
