The word love is used so much in our society that I often wonders if people really understand the word or the actions that should follow the meaning; not that I am an expert or an authority on the subject.
Our modern dictionaries define love as:
1. A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
2. A feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
3. Sexual passion or desire.
4. Affectionate concern for the well-being of others: the love of one’s neighbor. Read more on Love is what it does….

Imagine having help on tap, someone standing by and ready to act on a moments notice. We can go about our lives, do what we want and when and the second the trouble, crisis or even tragedy shows up we call for …JESUS!…HELP NOW! It is then, we have plenty a time for prayer, Bible study and being nice to others. I think the Christian Community has become complacent and lulled into a false sense of security in their church faith. What do I mean? I always thought and believed that faith was an action word. You don’t grab it when you need it, its something you have every hour of every day. Read more on Freinds, Fellowship and Prayer – I'll Call You When I Need You….

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all things thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
– Darby’s Bible
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I desire that in all things thou shouldest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.
I have been meditating on and contemplating this Scripture lately. I believe we do not have total understanding of what it means for our soul to prosper. It would be helpful to understand what the soul is first before we go on. Many people say the spirit and the soul are the same thing, however the Word of God differentiates them. Absolutely nothing! People try many things to please God; they want Salvation so they can make it into Heaven. Going to church, singing in the choir or being an usher. The truth is that none of your acts or attempts to be “right” (Isaiah 64.6) with God will work!
If you want to please God, look at what the Bible Says:
Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.
So, what can you do to be saved? Again…nothing! Jesus Christ Already did it for you! What is necessary for you to be pleasing in the Sight of God? Lets see; He died for the sin of mankind and then He rose again from His death, that you might Live! All you need to do is believe that. Sound too easy? Still not convinced? Then read the scripture for yourself;
Rom 10:9 because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved:
Rom 10:10 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be put to shame.
Rom 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:
Rom 10:13 for, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
