As it relates to ministry, what will you do in 1020? How will you serve? That’s what ministry is. Ministry in more than serving God, its serving the body of Christ. Say what? “Your serving God by going to Church? How does God benefit from you showing up to worship service every Sunday?
Who will you encourage? Who will you “help up”? While so many believers are focused on what rewards and crowns they will receive when they get to heaven, they are missing the opportunity to do a service (ministry) to the saved and unsaved alike. Read more »

In the company of believers you hear all sort of cliches, fancy words of the christian vernacular, the problem with these words and phrases is that many of them are useless and empty. Being christian does not make you exempt from life’s problems. Although one might spend their time in much prayer, you still must interact with the rest of the worlds population and you will encounter other people with real problems.
How do you exhort, how do you minister to someone without forcing your way of thinking at them? Are you out to get them to join your church? Or, are you seeking to lead them to salvation in Jesus Christ? Speaking in the King James English (quoting bible verses) is enough to turn someone away because you give the impression that you can not relate to what they are feeling. Telling someone to “just pray” about it really falls short of helping when you as a believer should be able to empathize with what they are feeling. Read more »

The body of Christ is made up of many members. The church, is made up of many born again believers of whom God have given gifts and talents to. These gifts and talents are not for entertainment purposes, but they are for serving the body of Christ. Do all members have the same office? No, do all have the gift of teaching or preaching? No. Each members of the body of Christ has a function and a purpose. We often hear our functions and purposes referred to as gifts.
Every now and them, I think many believers get so caught up on the or gifts, they think their gift is far superior than anyone. The believer that prophesies will need to partake of the gift of healing or benefit from someones giving. In Romans the 12th chapter, Paul urges the saints at Rome (Romans 1:7) to present them selves as a living and holy sacrifice (Romans 12:1) Read more »
