In this article we’re not talking about smoking, but if you thought about two like items, your pretty close. I remember a sermon preached by a Pastor entitled “Love, is what it does”, sounds catchy I thought, but I didn’t realize the meaning until years later; no I am not implying that I’ve mastered it, but I believe I understand what it is and what it is not.
Love; Isn’t it ironic we use the same word to define how we feel about a pair of shoes, or a favorite car, meal or other object? The word “Love” is tossed around as a filler to define something that is said to be so complex, yet it is a simple word…an action word, you can’t make it (love), it’s something you do, its not the physical act between two people involving simple mechanics, nor is it a term of endearment.
There is a passage of scripture, that says “…while we were yet sinners, Christ died for the un-godly”. Wow could this have been a demonstration of love, a word that was demonstrated by the actions of a loving God. Read more on Words that Match…

There are many articles and blogs on how to please God. How do I or you please God? As if God is angry and we need to appease Him before being zapped. Many time a sermon will be deliver with such emotion and intensity its as if Gods people are being scolded or reprimanded by the preacher. Fear is a great motivator, especially to someone living in fear and doubt. Its possible theses people (burdened with fear) carry and abide by a list of “what and what not to do”.
I was actually surprised to see a list of five things on a popular website on how to please God. I’m sure that if you went from church to church, you would have a concoction of tasks and things that you should do, or refrain from doing in order to please God. Does your church have a list? What is it that you think most believers will say that one must do to please God? Read more on How to please God….

When factual information is needed to make an understanding clear, why is it that many bible teachers will avoid the facts? You can’t understand a conversation by entering at the middle. This is what many teacher will do, teach a doctrine and expect people to believe it when they only teach half the story. Read more on The Plain Facts…
