What a great feeling to be in the company of friends or in the fellowship of the believers and hear encouraging words. Believers will embrace each other, firm hand shakes are exchanged among the men and the women will express their joy at seeing another friend or member they haven’t seen in awhile. The word love is used so much in our society that I often wonders if people really understand the word or the actions that should follow the meaning; not that I am an expert or an authority on the subject.
Our modern dictionaries define love as:
1. A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
2. A feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
3. Sexual passion or desire.

Once in awhile you might pray, once in awhile you might tell someone that you love them, once in awhile you might visit someone who is sick and once in awhile you might call them on the phone. Such enthusiasm, such dedication and faithfulness have I seen from believers that are focused on simple one thing…Making it to Heaven. As I recall from my former days of traditional thinking, it takes all the activity that one can attend and participate in and then some to make it into Heaven. What kind of activity? Faithfully attend Bible Study and every service that is held 3-4 times a week; faithfully give when asked and even postdate those checks if you don’t have the money; lift your hands, say “Praise the Lord” when prompted , sound familiar?
