Hmmm…is this possible? Okay, let me build up to my point. Lets start with the word diva, used in the English language in the late 19th century. It is derived from the Italian noun diva, a female deity. The plural of the word in English is “divas”; in Italian, dive [ˈdiːve]. The basic sense of the term is “goddess”. Because its to easy, too many believers are doing it and are afraid of saying something. Going Against The Grain is not a church, we are not a religious organization. The inspiration for Going Against The Grain began year ago while attending Pentecostal and Holiness churches. I (the author and founder) was (and I still am) a curious person. I believe in understanding what any why I believe in something. I am always open to learning, but open to learning whats true. When people (church leaders, preachers or evangelist) can only repeat what they have been taught and can not give a defense to what and why they believe or do something it should cause one to turn to the word of God for a standard or the truth, and I did. We hear the word unconditional used in many ways and one of the most common I believer is when it is used in the church when talking about the unconditional love of God toward people. The other method the word unconditional is used is in the conversation of christian people when talking about the unconditional love of the husband towards the wife.
Love with our conditions sound nice and we are so ready to embrace such love coming from the cross (as Christ died for the sins of man) but when it comes to showing this type of love towards each other, its on the condition of. Even in the marriage vows, we promises unto each other in the site of God (or the justice of the peace) what we will do and how we will love, yada, yada, yada; on the conditions that…and in comes the fine print. Valentines day is celebrated in may countries and is one of the most looked forward to holidays in the candy, flower and greeting card industry. I think February the 14th is a stressful day for women working in offices. Why? Imagine this, women working is an office building watching for the flower guy to show up at the door and everyone is trying to guess “are those flowers for me?”
When the flowers are delivered to the expecting woman’s desk (and all eyes on on her), she’s the envy of all the women watching, until the next delivery when she is out done by someone else.
