Your probably thinking, this post is about what Christ said in John 14:6. Your close but, maybe I will elude to it later because it has much relevance to this post. Religion can be misleading in the life of a person who does not understand what they believe and why then believe it. Attending or having a membership, in a specific denomination of the Christian faith, is no guarantee of eternal life nor is it a reflection of ones relationship with Jesus Christ. Pastors and elders are merely servants of Jesus Christ and the Gospel, that’s what the Apostle Paul identified himself as in Romans 1:1. Read more on The way of life – The Church Or Christ?…

Some days are definitely better that some. It’s great to be able to call on someone when you have a problem, especially when they can be right there to aide you. In the busy lives of believers, when trouble seems to show up, believers can always call on another church member to pray with them. In many cases, church members will go the extra mile and come to you and provide comfort if and when needed. Some church members will immediately call for the pastor of the church and like most pastors, he will be right there. If someone had to go to the hospital, they call the pastor; if someone goes to jail, you call the pastor; the electric company is outside your house to disconnect the power, call the pastor and the praying saints.
At what point in life do we (as believers) deal with the problem that life brings us? When do we make a stand for our self? Somethings are preventable, as for the problems and circumstances beyond our control, I believe God steps in to comfort and help us.
What if God answered our every beckoned call? What would we learn? Read more on If Life Had No Problems What would you learn?…

We are living in a time where it seems the church seeks the entertainment value in Teaching, Preaching and in the worship service. We are pre occupied with:
- “Who is preaching today”?
- “WOW”, “that brother can really preach”!
- “Man, I really enjoyed the service today!”
If the speaker has a pleasant voice, can split a verb or carefully handle a conjunction we seem to be satisfied! Just don’t tell me about my sin, or that I have to stop sleeping around! These things do not build crowds nor please people; the offering will be mighty low if you tell me I must come out of my sin! (Hmm.. I think I’m preaching now!)
As long as it sounds good or it’s new we seem to migrate in that direction. Paul alludes to this in 2 Timothy 4:3. Sound doctrine is not popular (to the believer that wants to here things pleasing to his/her ear), but a teacher or preacher that can really preach and tech is novel, new, refreshing and somewhat entertaining; were mesmerized by the display of talent and skill before our eyes, that we flock to it…
And we never, ever get involved in TRUE MINISTRY.

As I continue with our topic, Church – Membership or Citizenship, I hope to wrap it up with this post. I think it goes without saying; words are powerful. Most often those in the church will user words and cliches and they will place much confidence in the improper use of these words. Lets take for instance the word membership and what it implies. A member is someone who meets the standards or the qualifications to be apart of an organization.
