It was a beautiful Sunday morning, everything seemed to go just fine in the Sunday school and even the start of the morning service seem to put the saints in the spirit of unity and worship. I remember as a young man how worship services had a special meaning to my mother. I can remember how the people were reflective of their week and thankful to God for His many blessings.
Attending Church had a special meaning during those years, it was quite different from the time we experience in the corporate worship services today. Modesty and humility were the hallmark of Godly men and women then and so much has chanced in this century. At the risk of stirring up a hornets nest (and I’m not calling anyone a hornet) I realize that some of my readers may not agree nor appreciate this post in particular. Some days are definitely better that some. It’s great to be able to call on someone when you have a problem, especially when they can be right there to aide you. In the busy lives of believers, when trouble seems to show up, believers can always call on another church member to pray with them. In many cases, church members will go the extra mile and come to you and provide comfort if and when needed. Some church members will immediately call for the pastor of the church and like most pastors, he will be right there. If someone had to go to the hospital, they call the pastor; if someone goes to jail, you call the pastor; the electric company is outside your house to disconnect the power, call the pastor and the praying saints.
At what point in life do we (as believers) deal with the problem that life brings us? When do we make a stand for our self? Somethings are preventable, as for the problems and circumstances beyond our control, I believe God steps in to comfort and help us.
What if God answered our every beckoned call? What would we learn? Read more on If Life Had No Problems What would you learn?…

I was thinking about this great gospel Message that must be preached to a dying world and I came to the conclusion, there is a point and time where people need to be taught! You can say, and proclaim “Repent” all day long, but people need to understand what this means. It can not be assumed that the hearer knows what it means to repent or even how to. What does it mean to repent? Repent from what? How? Read more on Open Your Mouth…

A new series of commercials can be seen on TV, happy people talking about who they are and stating the religious affiliation. I think it’s cool, you see the obvious diversity, sincerity, realness and the seemingly realism of the People and their families portrayed in these commercials.
I had a moment of wondering why, one of the fastest growing denominations in the world, C.O.G.I.C could not attract, mentor or retain as members many of the people in these commercials. I can’t remember seeing any COGIC commercials in my lifetime. Read more on I’m a Mormon!…
