When giving up is not an option.

Giving up and walking away from your faith is the easiest thing to do.  Think about it, your frustrated and it seems that no one cares nor do they understand. When you go to the church  the counselor really doesn’t connect with what your saying and just offers you a few bible scriptures and tells you your problem is,  not enough prayer and you don’t attend enough services.

The world is full of problems, the church has problems, the members have problems and everyone in the church you speak to  says “I’m blessed of the Lord” when you ask  “how are you today.”

All is not lost, God knows what your feeling and what your going through. Don’t take my word for it, look at what David wrote in  Psalm 139.

Disconnected

Timed out. Your session was disconnected because your login was idle for an extended period of time.

Aren’t you so glad that you do not get this message, because you did not pray? Some believers may give you the impression they say their prayer every night and then never forget an evening to pray. That may be true for some, but there are some people who simply did not pray before they went to bed. For what ever reason things in life will happen.

What I find truly a blessing is that you remembered that you did not pray.  SO, don’t be so hard on yourself, life is full of enough problems without creating more for yourself and allowing other to place a righteous guilt trip on you.  Pray throughout the day, pray every time you think about it, its possible to have a conversation with God throughout the day.

Luke 18:1

Relax, you haven’t been disconnected, God is still there.

Go Saints Go!

In my earlier post “Go Saints” I was actually thinking of an analogy, something to encourage the people of God. When I was out earlier in the day, my wife told me that the New Orleans Saints were playing in the Super Bowl. I actually forgot who was in the Super Bowl because I’m not a real sports enthusiast, I’m more of the technology type.

After more than 44 years and this was the NFL teams first time in the super bowl, the New Orleans Saints. Sometimes you may wonder, when your time is, when will you see the light at the end of the tunnel, sometimes you might lose control of the (ball) situation and regain it later in the game, you may even get an interception if you don’t loose hope. Everything does not always go in the favor of the opposing team. Read more »

Go Saints!

I couldn’t resist the opportunity to root for the saints on this particular day. I realize that many of you might not be sports fans but I wanted to acknowledged the fact that we contend with many issues during the day but in the end we win and before it starts, we’ve won because of  the team we’re on. We have an amazing head coach and only one referee whose constantly doing an outstanding job no matter what the play is.

Yes it may be superbowl Sunday and one of the playing teams happens to be the Saints. The saints that I am refering to in today’s post are the pople of God. While you may be rooting for your favorite football team, daily I’m rooting for the people of God that endure the harships and difficulties that we face every day. Be encouraged and of God cheer, Jesus Christ has overcome!

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (Jude 1:24) KJV

Go Saints of God!
