When factual information is needed to make an understanding clear, why is it that many bible teachers will avoid the facts? You can’t understand a conversation by entering at the middle. Lets face it, church is not what it used to be and it’s not what most people in their late 40′s remember growing up. The church was a place where the pastor certainly had the respect of the community and the people he served. In our present, the church members seem to be serving the pastor. A friend shared with me, their experience while they visited a local church. The people were short-tempered, rude and set the worst example for a group of people representing their local church and pastor. What a great feeling to be in the company of friends or in the fellowship of the believers and hear encouraging words. Believers will embrace each other, firm hand shakes are exchanged among the men and the women will express their joy at seeing another friend or member they haven’t seen in awhile. We often limit ourselves with erroneous thinking; for instance it is popular to think as well as believe that ministry exists within the four walls of the church and consists of:
- Singing in the choir.
- Ushering
- Play an instrument.
- Service in an official capacity or what ever you do within the four walls of the church.
