So much has become acceptable to the masses of believers that it i shard to tell the believer from the non believer. Every body is a Christian these days, anybody can talk the religious jargon, but that doe not mean they know God. everybody claims to know God also, but to know God is to know love and to know love would mead that knowledge is reflected in our behavior.
When it comes to teaching or preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, every message won’t be a feel good sermon. There are times when Gods people will need exhortation or a rebuke (strong criticize or reprimand) so they we will turn around situations in our lives. Many things are in our control, they are out of control when we seemingly look the other way or we allow compromise in our lives. Read more on Behavior and Customs…

I guess this is an age-old question. Make a statement and you will most likely get a question. Why (see what I mean!) do we ask questions? I don’t have a quote from a renowned psychologist, but I believe is it to get an understanding to what we do not comprehend. A question is most likely preceded by a “why” “how come” or ‘what”, one thing is for sure, the person asking wants to understand, the are trying to make some sense of the statement, fact or an event they were introduced to. I was thinking about this great gospel Message that must be preached to a dying world and I came to the conclusion, there is a point and time where people need to be taught! You can say, and proclaim “Repent” all day long, but people need to understand what this means. It can not be assumed that the hearer knows what it means to repent or even how to. What does it mean to repent? Repent from what? How? Read more on Open Your Mouth…

With the remarkable ability to recall details of a conversation or being able to learn a subject or topic by attending a lecture, we as believers fall short in sharing Gods Word to those whom are discouraged, with sound bytes of sermons.
Remember how you just couldn’t remember that passage of scripture, you merely quoted what that evangelist said at last years convocation.
With so little firsthand knowledge of Gods Word we resort to repeating what we have heard over the years and much of what we heard and believe to be true has been tainted by tradition.
What do you know to be factual and true according to what you have studied in the scripture? After careful examination of the scriptures can you share; not what you know, but what the Word says? Or will you only replay sound bytes of sermons?
