Nothing specific – Just Going Against The Grain

by nlewis on April 14, 2012 · 2 comments

I hope all readers have enjoyed and learned something from the post pertaining to fellowship. Fellowship is not a new buzz word of course, but IO do believes its a word that has nearly faded into obscurity. Why? Leaders and church goers would rather used the word “church” and  with the over and misuse of the word church, church members can be bound to a set or rules set by church leaders as it related to attendance and for the most part it is conveyed that your attendance is mandated.

Maybe its human 0r fleshly nature, but I’d rather be in fellowship any day with a group of true and sincere believers than then in a forced mandated setting called “church service”  with forced smiles and people who are not sincere.

I though when I started this post, it would be about nothing specific, but it looks like I was wrong. There is so much to learn and so much room to grow. I believe that fellowship is a vital part of the healthy growth and maturing process or the Christian Believer. The same holds true to anybody in any organization. The problem shows up when people adopt their own set of rules and ways in which they believe will please God; could this be the reason we have many denomination and many translations of the bible?

There must be a problem when you have two churches on the same block and they don’t even fellowship with each other. More time is spent warning their prospective members as to why you should not visit the other.

Nothing Specific, just Going Against The Grain
