No more room up front, in the spot light
When it comes to ministry it seems that up front is the place to be. All the fine seats are taken, up front they cross their legs, and fix their collars and others make sure their oversized handkerchiefs are neatly draped across their laps as required by protocol. We rush past our neighbors on the way to choir rehearsal, and speed thru the yellow light on the way to church and we leave those in need of restoration deprived of being free yet another day.
The Kingdom of God should be preached to the Lost and you won’t (for the most part) find them in the church. They are online, in the bookstores on Sunday, mowing their grass, and in the park playing soccer. Ministry is not “lights, cameras, action!” sometimes it’s in the back of the church, in the park, and under the ninth street bridge and right next door.
There is usually no more room up front because no one wants to be outback, or outside doing ministry!
Go, and teach and preach the Kingdom of God!
