Leaving or relocating?

by nlewis on April 13, 2012 · 0 comments

Many people are dissatisfied with their church and when they get really tire of all the drama, they leave. There are valid reasons to leave the place where you fellowship. It is not the ultimate sin (its not a sin at all) to want to go somewhere else,  where you can worship God without being shackled by dos and don’t s.  To many believers are petrified and fearful in deciding to leave the church (leaving the place of fellowship).  My question to you is this, are you leaving the church or simply relocating?  There is a big difference, did you know?

You really can not leave something they you are spiritually apart of; the body of Christ.  It may sound like a play on words, but words have meaning and we all to often use them wrong. The church is not something you leave, you are part of it; its not the building, the church is people. There may be many places to fellowship, but there is only one church.  You were born into the ‘Church” (not the Baptist, Methodist or C.O.G.I.C) by your faith in Jesus Christ.  You can however, relocate and go to another place to fellowship.

There are places of fellowship that exist, where a believer feels they are not growing spiritually and they are concerned enough to find greener pastures that their soul might be restored; hmmm… sounds like a piece of the 23rd Psalm. There in nothing wrong with going from a place of “no growth and drama” to a place of peace, love and joy in the Holy Ghost.
