A phrase commonly quoted in the Church. Although true, some believers have a list of things that are apart of this life style; a list of do and don’t s.
My question is this; If Holiness is a life style (and it is) what things must one do to be, obtain and maintain one’s Holiness?

I think one should read their Bible daily!
I disagree with this statement as it pertains to holiness. Holiness is a lifestyle. Lifestyle means a manner of living that reflects the person’s values and attitudes
Second, holy or holiness means Belonging to, derived from, or associated with a divine power; sacred. Now reading the bible doesn’t allow a person to obtain or maintain holiness. Faith and Love do. These two cannot be faked and are only derived from God…
I agree with your statement “These two can not be faked and are only derived from God…”
So my question is this: Is it true when the saints say “Holiness is
about where you go, what you do, what you wear and as well as what you do not wear and what you don’t do? Don’t mis-understand, I am not saying a child of God should Indulge in the sin he/she was saved from, but we tend to put more trust in the ritual of following a list of do’s and Don’ts rather than being led by the spirit of God.
You are correct. We do tend to place more emphasis on ritual behavior rather than following the Spirit. That is why I believe we see christians with their dresses dragging the dirt and not wearing certain colors (like red). Where did all this stuff come from? Where in the bible or thru out christianity was there given instructions to us as saints to associate holiness with things I don’t do or with things I do. This is what the Pharisees were doing.
I think we have more or less become like those Pharisees in the modern church. It seems the thinking is: If you do not fast as long as I do or speak in toungs like me, your not living right or really sold out to God.
I think if we spend more time with God in His Word “We will know what is true” and we won’t be bound by tradition!
