Paul, the Apostle said, “Five times my own people gave me thirty-nine lashes with a whip. Three times the Romans beat me with a big stick, and once my enemies stoned me. I have been shipwrecked three times, and I even had to spend a night and a day in the sea.
During my many travels, I have been in danger from rivers, robbers, my own people and foreigners. My life has been in danger in cities, in deserts, at sea and with people who only pretended to be the Lord’s followers. I have worked and struggled and spent many sleepless nights. I have gone hungry and thirsty and often had nothing to eat. I have been cold from not having enough clothes to keep me warm,” 2 Co 11:24-28. ~Romans 16a, 17 (NIV).
For many years I professed to be a Christian and never lived that way. Sure, I had more than a passing interest in the Bible and I prayed–at meals we even said grace. But that was about it as far as living the Christian faith was concerned. Read more on Ashamed of the Gospel? From Romans 1:16-17…

The word of God in Mark 11:25 says “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” That is powerful. That means if you still can not stand the girl in the third grade that colored on your pretty picture, you have to forgive her so your sins may be forgiven. The word says if you hold anything against anyone you must forgive – including things you hold against yourself! Read more on Forgiving You…

You don’t have to be a great orator, have a PHD or hail from a well known theological seminary, you simply need to know what it is that you believe(why would help also). According to 1 Peter 3:15, we should be ready to give every man an answer that’s will ask you the reason of the hope that you have. What is it you can answer? I believe that anyone can answer intelligently as to why they believe, what they believe; if by reading this you find that you can not give an answer, call this your first assignment.
