So much has become acceptable to the masses of believers that it i shard to tell the believer from the non believer. Every body is a Christian these days, anybody can talk the religious jargon, but that doe not mean they know God. everybody claims to know God also, but to know God is to know love and to know love would mead that knowledge is reflected in our behavior.
When it comes to teaching or preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, every message won’t be a feel good sermon. There are times when Gods people will need exhortation or a rebuke (strong criticize or reprimand) so they we will turn around situations in our lives. Many things are in our control, they are out of control when we seemingly look the other way or we allow compromise in our lives. In Paul’s letter to the Romans, chapter 12, verse 1. Paul exhorts the people to “be not conformed to this world”. when talking to citizens of the Kingdom of God, using the term “this world” is appropriate. You are a citizen of the Kingdom of God, by your faith in Jesus Christ.
As citizens of The Kingdom Of God, our behavior and customs are to be and should be different. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. If I may borrow from an old cliche, “we are in Roman and we are doing as the Romans do.” The Churches of God in Christ Jesus, looks and acts the same in behavior and customs as the non-believers do. I’m not talking about a certain denomination, because all denominations have their issues.
Their should be and must be a difference between Holy and unholy, if Holiness is a life style (and it is) it is a life hid in Christ Jesus, not a denomination or a set of rules that state, what to wear, what not to wear, eat or drink. Shall we continue in sin that the grace of God may abound? God forbid!
