Trust in God will require one to STAND although everything around you is shaken! Yes, the pun was intended to illustrate a point. The people of Haiti experiences an aftershock a week after their initial earth quake. We read the news articles and have more than likely seen footage of people praying and thanking God for sparing their lives. Preachers were encouraging the people to not loose faith and a week later they are hit with another quake.This is similar to what everyday people experience when the turn to God for something, their faith is strong and days or weeks later, they experience something that shakes their faith and shakes their confidence in God and they are soon separated from what they once believed.
When some people encounter crisis, great tribulation or stressful situations, they run to faith in God. When all seams well and the storm passes its back to life before the crisis…for some. There are those who have a made up mind to trust in God regardless of what crisis or storm life may bring their way.
Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him” (Proverbs 30:5)
